PayaCharity, the UK’s largest provider of contactless donation devices with a sophisticated online giving platform has acquired Thyngs & GoodThyngs to further strengthen its offering in the Charitable giving sector. Thyngs is a longstanding proven solution for consumers to donate using their mobile phones, making donations simple, flexible and accessible to all.>
Thyngs specialises in the provision of experience based NFC/QR code triggered donations via its GoodThyngs brand. The Thyngs acquisition comes hot on the heals of the acquisition of Toucan and will enable PayaCharity to further its vision of bringing digital transformation to the sector, and expand its engagement with its charity customers.
Bill Thomson, CEO of Paya Group, said: ‘We are delighted to combine the experience of the PayaCharity and Thyngs teams to support the ongoing shift towards card and digital donations in the Charitable sector. Any current fundraising strategy should consider the combination of contactless, mobile and online giving. GoodThyngs offers a valuable low cost option to attract donors in a society where use of cash continues to decline, contactless has grown to be the most common form of payment and where everyone carries a mobile phone.’
Neil Garner, CEO of Thyngs said: ‘Having founded Thyngs back in 2016 with a vision to develop secure and simple mobile cashless payment technology, I am delighted that Paya Group understand the value of the Thyngs solutions and their contribution to the transformation from cash to digital payments in the Charitable Sector. I look forward to being a part of the next phase of the journey with Thyngs & GoodThyngs being part of a wider and more integrated portfolio of payment and fundraising solutions.’
